The film follows Grisha, a young man who, after a series of personal setbacks, ends up staying in his grandmother’s apartment and discovers old videotapes. Through these recordings, he learns about the fate of his real father, who disappeared before Grisha was born. In the 1990s, his father was one of the founders of an early Russian internet startup.
Seeking to uncover the past, Grisha interviews people from the old footage while documenting his own emotions — from grief and love to everyday routines and moments of escape. The result is a mockumentary blending a personal investigation with nostalgia for the 1990s and a reflection on generational ties.
