“Made in Odessa”: Aleksei Gorbunov and Oleg Filimonov — presenting the premiere of a heartfelt theatre production in Czechia
In December 2025, the Czech Republic will host a unique touring production of the play “Made in Odessa” — a heartfelt theatrical journey into the atmosphere of old Odessa. Two evenings in two Czech cities — Karlovy Vary and Prague — will become a meeting place for Odessa humor, subtle irony and unmistakable southern charm.
“Made in Odessa” is more than a performance; it is a living encounter with a legend. On stage, the city comes alive — where every word carries warmth and wit, and every joke hides a quiet wisdom. The characters lead the audience through the alleys of memory, where the sea of stories murmurs, acacias bloom, and heartfelt narratives come to life.
This is a play about preserving soul, laughter and kind words — despite distance, time and change. About the Odessa that may no longer exist on the map, yet lives forever in one’s heart.
The leading roles are performed by Aleksey Gorbunov and Oleg Filimonov — legendary actors, guardians of Odessa’s spirit and folk wisdom. Their creative partnership has long symbolized sincerity, humor and delicate lyricism. On stage they create an atmosphere where laughter intertwines with nostalgia, and warm stories become a true art of connecting with the audience.
